Job Description:
The Prevention Specialist responsibilities are to provide prevention and educational services for CFR in accordance with approved grants and contracts for services with funding agencies. This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The employee must have knowledge in prevention theory, problem gambling and substance abuse information and public relations. The employee in this position will need to participate in community advocacy and be able to identify the key stakeholders in each community. The employee will peform a variety of important and sometimes urgent, confidential and complex tasks with frequently changing priorities. 
 
What We Need From You:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Community Health, Public Health, Degree in Nursing, Human Services or closely related degree or experience, with a minimum of two years work experience in education, training, public relations or community activism
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to present to a variety of audiences varying in size and setting
  • Ability to work days, some evenings and some weekends as required by contracts
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a valuable participant in a team setting
  • Willingness to learn objectives of the agency
