Prevention and Education

The best way to prevent abuse or addiction to drugs, alcohol, and tobacco is to never start using them. Only by teaching youth and adults about healthy behavior and lifestyles, can we expect to decrease risky behaviors and prevent addictions.

Community and Family Resources offers programs focusing on preventing use and abuse of alcohol, drugs, tobacco and gambling. Research-based programs are taught to school age children from preschool through college, to individuals, community groups and businesses.

“For every $1 spent on prevention programs, $7 is saved in medical law enforcement and other social costs; $15 is saved in treatment.”

If you are looking for information on drugs, alcohol, inhalants, tobacco or gambling, or would like to have a program presented, CFR Prevention Staff is here to help. Education is the key to understanding addictive behaviors.

Contact your trained Prevention Staff for information on how our education and prevention programs can help you or your organization.

Education helps prevent substance abuse, chemical dependency and gambling addiction.
