Community & Family Resources (CFR) is an agency that assists individuals and families with substance abuse and gambling addictions and mental health needs. CFR has an in-patient treatment facility and an in-patient adolescent treatment facility, both located in Fort Dodge. CFR also has outpatient offices located in Fort Dodge, Ames, Webster City, Boone, Clarion, Humboldt, Pocahontas and Rockwell City. Our staff have the opportunity to provide support at many different levels with adults, as well as youth.
We are seeking a Peer Recovery Coach for our Adult Residential facility in Fort Dodge. This individual serves as an advocate for consumers/families and their wellness, recovery and services. This employee will assist in the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that support consumers/families with substance abuse use and/or co-occuring disorders. This employee will provide education about wellness and recovery, utilizing his/her own unique insights based on personal experience. This individual will assist the clinical team in identifying evidence-based/best practice models that are conducive to wellness and recovery. Peer Support Coaches are required to abide by all applicable federal, state and local regulations affecting mental health, substance abuse and problem gambling services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:

Assists consumers and family members in understanding and accessing services

Provides peer support and education to consumers and family members

Attends conferences and team meetings as needed

Develops and facilitates support groups and classes as directed

Maintains documentation of contacts, activities and units utilized for billing purposes

Assists consumers in articulating personal recovery and wellness goals by creating their Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP)

Assists consumers in building social skills

Assists with consumers' education and/or employment goals and/or supported employment
