Edina B.

Edina joined CFR in September of 2024 as an intensive outpatient Counselor at our Des Moines location. Edina studied liberal arts at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, IA and then transferred to University of Missouri Kansas City in 2020. Edina graduated with her Bachelor of Psychology in 2023 with an emphasis in Child Psychology. Edina got into Substance Use Treatment to grow her career in counseling. In previous positions, Edina worked in retail pharmacy for 7 years as the lead certified technician and has worked with individuals with disabilities where she focused on billing with state funding, locating, and providing services such as day habilitation and individualizing plans to each client.

Edina was originally born in Bosnia and moved to America when she was 6 months old. Edina grew up in Waterloo, IA and moved to Kansas City, MO in 2020. Edina recently moved back Iowa after getting married to her high school sweetheart, Dino. In Edina’s spare time she likes to watch tv, spend time with her family, craft, and do home renovations.

Lisa C

Lisa Chapman joined CFR in January 2023 as a residential counselor in Des Moines. Lisa has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Psychology along with 7 years of experience in Substance Use Treatment and MAT programming.

Outside of CFR, Lisa has a business on the side where she does eyebrow microblading (she has a tattoo artist license!) In her spare time, she is an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and has been a season ticket holder for a few short years but attending games for years before. She is also a season ticket holder the Iowa Wolves G League Basketball team in Des Moines. She likes to spend time with her one and only grandchild who is 10 years old, as well as her entire family when she can.

 

Kristen G

Kristen joined CFR as a Substance Abuse Counselor at Des Moines Residential in June 2025. Kristen offers respectful and honest collaborations with individuals looking to explore their struggles and goal. Kristen has experience working with clients of various ages and backgrounds, including experience across the spectrum of gender and sexuality. Kristen firmly believes in the potential for personal growth and positive change in every individual facing challenges with substance abuse.

Kristen graduated from the University of Northern Iowa where she studied Human Behavior Sciences, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family Services and Mental Health, and was certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys a good mystery novel, listening to Taylor Swift, and snuggling with her cat named Beary.
