SAME DAY ACCESS HOURS

Same-day substance use evaluations are available at our Ames, Des Moines, Fort Dodge and Iowa City offices during select days and times. No appointment is needed - just come in during the listed days/times for a confidential and comprehensive substance use evaluation. Upon completion of the evaluation, the extent of the potential concerns with substance use, gambling, and/or mental health is shared with the individual and effective treatment options are explored. Referrals are then made to the most appropriate level of service at Community and Family Resources or to other community resources when needed.

 

This process may take approximately 2.5 hours; in order to help streamline your visit, you may complete the intake forms in the Patient Portal found at www.cfrhelps.org/patient-portal prior to visiting our office. Please bring a photo ID, insurance card, and your most recent paystub if employed.

 

Language translation services are available and include access to a live interpreter.
