Community and Family Resources (CFR), serving 8 counties in North Central Iowa, providing substance abuse and gambling prevention and treatment services, has an opening for a Intake Specialist/Support Staff Float at our Fort Dodge Central Campus. The Intake Specialist/Support Staff Float provides initial and on-going guidance to each client/consumer regarding the agency’s fees-for-services, third-party payer resources and requirements, and the client’s /consumer’s arrangements for payments of fees. They will review appointment reports to ensure each consumer is properly authorized, verify insurance and county eligibility, alert providers about re-authorizations needed, assign deadlines for provider actions, process paperwork via mail, fax, internet, or phone and file re-authorization documents. This position will require the ability to maintain electronic medical records, web-based time keeping systems, internet software, spreadsheet software, and word-processing software.
This position requires scheduling flexibility. The typical hours are Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p, however, must be flexible to include some evening hours (until 7p) and Saturdays 8a-2p if needed to cover. This position travels to other locations (Ames, Boone, and Webster City) to help cover front desk duties as well, sometimes on short notice. The ideal candidate should be analytical, have excellent interpersonal communication and team building skills, hands on computer experience with a high degree of proficiency, and must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks. Qualified candidates will have a two year degree or demonstrated equivalent experience.
